Since a while one Win8 keyboard shortcut no longer works. I assume an entry in the registry is corrupted?
This issue may occur due to incorrect settings or due to corrupted hardware. What is the make and model of the computer? Did you make any recent changes on the computer prior to this issue? Method 1: I would suggest you to connect an external keyboard and check if it works. Method 2: If the issue persists, I would suggest you to run the Hardware troubleshooter and check. Type Troubleshooting and click Troubleshooting under Settings.
Now type Hardware Troubleshooter in the search option. Click on Hardware troubleshooter to run the troubleshooter. Method 3: If the issue persists, I would suggest you to download and install latest Keyboard Driver from the manufacturer website and check if it helps. Refer to the link for additional information. Unfortunately it looks as if this feature has been optimized why? Then you may have a use a real debugger to try to understand what is going on. Then that could explain your symptom. Sorry I gave you the wrong variable to use.
You are right. Even my Guest account has this. So copying from there could be a simple fix. I don't know what a designed repair would look like.
